The membrane-embedded domain of the unusual electron transporter DsbD (DsbDβ) uses two redox-active cysteines to catalyze electron transfer between thioredoxin-fold polypeptides on opposite sides of the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane. How the electrons are transferred across the membrane is unknown....
