Role of beta-lactamase in expression of resistance by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Of 27 unique clinical isolates of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, only 4 were homogeneously resistant, and all 4 produced little or no beta-lactamase.
