Adrenoceptors in the guinea-pig colon
Guinea-pig colon was shown to contain both α- and β-adrenoceptors. Isoprenaline-induced relaxation was mediated by β-adrenoceptors alone whilst that produced by phenylephrine was mediated by both α- and β- adrenoceptors.
