Occurrence of autoantibodies in healthy twins

Five autoantibodies were studied in 105 healthy like-sex twin pairs. Analysis of the concordance rates in monozygotic and dizygotic twin pairs suggests that in healthy people the predisposition to form these five autoantibodies is largely governed by environmental factors.
