A tiny RNA that catalyzes both aminoacyl-RNA and peptidyl-RNA synthesis.

A 29-nt RNA catalyst successively forms the aminoacyl ester phe-RNA, and then peptidyl-RNA (phe-phe-RNA), given phenylalanine adenylate (phe-AMP) as substrate.
