The source of oxygen in the reaction catalysed by collagen lysyl hydroxylase.
The synthetic peptides (Pro-Pro-Gly)5 and (Ile-Lys-Gly)5-Phe were hydroxylated with collagen prolyl hydroxylase and lysyl hydroxylase in an 18O2 atmosphere.
