<p>Drago Hočevar MD the first anesthetist at the surgical clinic in Ljubljana laid down the fundaments of Slovenian anesthesia. In carefully planned courses under the auspices of the surgical clinic he trained over thirty physicians in five years and founded the Section of Anesthetists.</p>
