«Evviva Umberto, Margherita, l’Italia, Roma!». L’irredentismo triestino e Casa Savoia
The article analyzes the role and the public image of Italy’s kings among Trieste’s patriots during the nineteenth century. Both the monarchists and the moderate republicans of Trieste saw the Crown as an ideal point of reference to unify the various currents of patriotism.
