First record of leucism in the Dasyprocta fuliginosa (Dasyproctidae, Rodentia) in Ecuador
Leucism is a congenital hypopigmentary disorder that has been described in several species of wild mammals, as an abnormal and unusual condition. The first record of Dasyprocta fuliginosa with leucism is presented and the possible causes of this condition are discussed.
