Overcoming stress-growth and yield-quality trade-offs in rice
Heat stress poses a serious threat to grain quality and yield in rice. Li et al. identified a natural variation in QT12, which is regulated by NF-Y transcription factors and enhances thermotolerance for grain quality and yield by maintaining endosperm storage substance homeostasis.1
