Bombacoxylon owenii (Carr.) Gottwald from Gebel Shabraweet, Eastern Desert, Egypt
Bombacoxylon owenii (Carr.) Gottwald (Bombacaceae), was widespread in Egypt in ages ranging from Oligoceneto Quaternary. This is the first record of this species from Gebel Shabraweet. Comments on the distribution of allspecies of Bombacoxylon in the world are given.
