The Glass industry in Palmyra
Abstract – No glass kilns, by-products or deformed vessels were found in Palmyra, but rare finds of raw chunks of glass suggest that glass was handled locally. New evidence is adduced in the form of some stamped glass tesserae which display local motifs.
