On désigne par “ocre” un pigment naturel, minéral, jaune ou rouge, de composition granulométrique très variable, constitué par un oxyhydroxyde ferrique (FeO (OH) : goethite), le plus souvent en mélange avec des argiles (généralement de la kaolinite) et un hydrohyde d’aluminium (AL(OH) 3 : gibbsite)...
