The crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(13)ClN(2)O(3)S, features a three-dimensional network stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the molecules. The 4-methylphenylsulfonyl ring forms a dihedral angle of 30.6 (1)° with the 4-chloropyridine ring.
